Tomorrow's interclass games, and I am so proud of all of us.
WE DID IT! The retreat helped us didn't it?
Thank you so much. I hope we all feel the same way?

Some of us have noticed that our class...

has been very cliqueish

VERY.

And. Cliques in class. have personal problems.

This... Is bringing down our class spirit. Okay, i have ALOT to say okay. And some thoughts may slip out of my mind..

Oh and I'm sorry if this is considered unofficial or anything. But it's kind of the only way to make this seen. because I know for certain there will be an uproar caused in the process if I bring this up any other way.

Remember what happened in term 1? remember class comm's confession session with Miss Tan?

Do you want a repeat of that? Do you want to see the class comm break down and cry?

OK. Alot of things have to be said. ALOT. alot alot alot. I apologise again if anyone gets offended. But this is truth. What i'm going to say applies to majority of the class. Majority of us are guilty of this. Probably even all of us. But, I'm going to say most of us. Because if not i'll be accused of inaccurate assumptions, and people will hate me too (or more). But you see, that's where we're all wrong. Even though majority of us are committing this, the WHOLE class suffers.

Ok. I'm doing this of my own accord. And i take responsibility for it. I may get in trouble but I really need to let you all know. And I know it's in the midst of out exams etcetc.

But you know what...? everybody's mindset, in our class is "I'm the most important" I don't care about the rest of the class, it's their problem. Whatever. You get the picture.

All we are doing now as a class, is studystudysudy. Ok, i'm not saying that's wrong. It's not wrong at all. But you know what? All we care about is ourselves. I'm serious.

And the clique problems?

OKay, class comm has heard that alot of you guys think we're incompetent and we need to take action about bonding the class. OK, fine. It's good that you want the bondage. But as I said, only some of us want it. You see, we must share a common vision. And we're in such a mess because nobody does anything. Class comm only has a limited power of authority.

And we're very sure you don't want us to take this problem to a teacher, and we can't bother our PSLs I'm sorry if you and your own cliques have your own little problems.

You want us to take action. Our class problem is that we all have our own cliques.

And someone is bound to get left out. I agree. But you guys really have to try and solve your clique problems on your own if you want this to work..

You don't want us to take it to a teacher, or counsellor, or psl. And, you also don't want the class comm interfering with your personal problems. We try our best, we really do. It's just that when we open for discussion, look at our response.

It's usually "anything","whatever"

You don't speak up. You don't tell us what you want. We actually might try and do what's best for the class if we all agree to the majority of the class needs. But as I've said. Class comm can only do 100%. After all, we're also your classmates. Fair in square.

I know, class comm has cliques too. I agree. If you don't notice, we do try to communicate with the whole class. I'm sorry we can't solve your clique problems.

And with OM and stuff, there are limits. Group limits. spread yourselves out alright?

Work with new people. Because we are OneOne.

There is a reason why teachers always say "GIRLS, you're in OneOne okay! StarPlus"

You know what that reason is? It's because we are all capable. We have the potential to be the best. The top notch. You notice? Lantern fest awards at assembly...?

I'm not saying this is all about us being the best. But, we've got to have drive and determination as a class. And I don't know, i'm just going to assume, that alot of you think this is lame, like whatever, i don't care.

Kind of thing? Open your eyes ok, you should care, this is your class.

Let's bring science into play.

Mutualism. This is what we aim for. Both parties (in this case its every individual in our class) working together where both benefit.

Hi. Wake up. This is what we want. We want to be all rounders, bonded, united, academically inclined.

That's why teachers expect more from us. And you notice we don't live up to it. the other past OneOne/TwoOne batches, they're ALWAYS the top. Can we aim for that? our batch changed things this year. So starting from next year, or hopefully sooner, can we work towards being winners, like a proper starplus class? Don't bring down what our seniors have done okay. It's not worth it.

And the basics of the clique problems are this : Misunderstandings, backstabbing, gossiping.

Stop it. Alright? Stop behaving like a bunch of immature... people. What's the purpose of coming to school?

To gossip? To backstab? Is that it? Go look at your school mission ok. Wake up call. Please, guys. I know, there are 37 different people in this class. I can't satisfy everybody. I don't know everyone's problems. Not possible. But we are a class. So. For the benefit of our class, please. Stop it. STOP IT. Get it out in the open, apologise. You don't like someone, try and like her.

It's not as if you're better than her. I know alot of our problems have more depth and complications. But seriously, sometimes, JUST LET GO AND LET LIVE.

ALRIGHT? I know, you're going to say something the class comm right now. Objections. Like You know, you're also very unfair... and grudging, and i know some of you all hate us.

Okay, our positions in class, sometimes, we say a harsh word in impulse and anger. We apologise. And we seriously don't hate you. And the reason you hate us, is also because of assumptions.

You assume we hate you. Then oh ok. Hate you back lor. CHILDISH MUCH. And then because you don't say anything... Bam. You tell a friend, the word spreads. And as the word spreads, it changes into another thing. Like broken telephone.

We were all bonded at first you know. We were fine. In the beginning, where we didn't know each other. When we were still shy, and all. With the help of PSLs. Why can't we be like that now?

Is this really the kind of experience you want in sec school? When you look back you'll be thinking, oh... I hated sec school. Everyone was just bitching about each other and backstabbing. Joy. I'm sure you want that yes?

Change your mindset people. Other people around you, they have feelings too. It's NOT about YOU. Put yourself in others shoes once in awhile. Would you like to be the one known as the parasite, or the "loner" the one who you know...?

Please forget all your past grudges. Everyone is different, just accept the fact that we can't agree on everything, and that you shouldn't hold someone's interest against them. Also, someone might have done something to hurt you. Well, that's what life throws at you okay?

But at the end, just... Let it go. Being moody and emo, it doesn't benefit anybody.It won't help you in life. I know alot of you will be like "OMG, how can she post about this online...?" Well. You want us to take action right?

Sorry. But well, this is kind of the only way. You see now, it's like Parasitism. Except nobody benefits. We are parasites, feeding off our seniors' reputation and good achievements as starplus, them being the host. Eventually, because of us, that reputation is going to be a bad one.

And the host, dies off. And you know, when the host dies off, eventually, so will the parasites. Except in our case, we don't have birds to scatter our seeds. That's nature. This is human life. OK, so people. Wake up call. Be more others centered. We'll try our best to help. But remember, we have our limits, we can only do so much.

You've got to help yourselves. And to the people who actually do care about the class spirit and our bond...? Thank you. Thank you so much.

Just to let you know...Mrs Tan said that the history poster in our class has information that is tested for the SA paper!! SO if you're smart enough you'll get the *hint*. xD Please go look at the history poster before we take it down.

The compulsory $30 for IJ FIESTA tickets is due by this Friday. If you are having any difficulties in selling the tickets, get someone to help you. Just to let you know, Caitlin Foo suggested everyone to buy more tickets because $30 is not enough money to spend for the whole day. Those of you who would like to buy more tickets, pay the respective amount of money by this Friday as well and the extra tickets will be given to you next Monday. The class (from sec 1-5) who raises the most $$$ will get to enjoy a free class chalet sponsored by Mrs Lee herself. umm i went to check how much the afro wigs are and like one is like $85. which is kinda expensive. so if no one else can find cheaper ones den maybe we could use pom poms( however you spell it) or you know those type of umm like those stings that start with 'R' ya.

Hey. ONE ONE. we are in a GIGANTIC dilemma! okay but first: home work

Now for the DILEMMA.

Now, our international friendship day item.
We are not going to do our CNY song medley.
We cannot do a dance because not many of you all are willing to dance and we cannot cereograph the steps in time for tmrw to teach it to you all. [Class Comm is doing all this okay...]

So, now we are down to SKIT about the zodiac animals. We need some Smart Alecks, to come up with humourous lines for the animals, the Jade emperor etc etc. We might twist the story a little. And we are going to end off with all of you people like kung fu fighting and other funny mannerisms. People like Erin, Therese, Vivian, Rachel Yee, Gin Yin, Valerie, Sheryl, Gwendolyn, Cassandra: the class comm seeks your co-operation to think something up because of your talent and skill in the dramatizing. other people are definately welcome to suggestions. Hey oneoners. Well, i hope you learnt something yesterday. I'm just here to say I hope you think about what has been said. Thanks Valliee. you left out gwen though.HAHA. well,i'm here with the usual homework and announcements:

yup i think that's about it. ONEONE. class comm plus rachel and some others made up like 15 new cheers. so you all ah...better enthu. okay so tmr... we have music before geog. which means a stampede down five storeys.

take music as an example. all through music,we play our instruments together as a class [pauses to let statement sink in,gonna get uber cheesy so yeah read on] we play together,different rythms,but using the same pulse. Different but the same. You will know that if one of us goes out of time,we all look and sound bad. That's what happens, it's the same when we're out of music. So why can't you all play your own special instrument to contribute to the vibe of ONEONE?

We better start bucking up and pulling up our socks oneone, where's your sense of class pride? a team spirit? don't tell me you've never felt a sense of loyalty, dont let our faults,dont let our intellectual intelligence stand in the way of EQ.
